Na'cho average queso!

Cheese is one of the hardest things for most people to reduce or eliminate all together. I found having a few decent dips and sauces that were cheezy helped; even dairy eating folk love this! Non-dairy cheese is a tricky thing and truthfully I do not like most commercially available vegan cheeses. So I had to figure out how to make some! The base of this sauce came from a recipe I found years ago, but it needed some serious tweaking to get the flavour right for my crew. Even my boys will gobble this up, and that is saying something! Play around with the salt and hot sauce level to your taste. I find that using 1.5 tablespoons of hot sauce gives it a nice warmth without being overly spicy, but heat level is a very individual thing, so maybe start with 1 tablespoon at first and then adjust.

This sauce is amazing as a traditional quest dip with tortilla chips. Also, delish on baked potatoes with some fresh, chopped, green onion, smothering steamed or roasted broccoli or cauliflower, over some oven baked French fries, or the perfect dip for soft pretzels. Love & Lemons have an amazing soft pretzel recipe that I have made at least a hundred times! Without further ado, here is the recipe for Na'cho Average Queso -
